Experience a kayak trip down the breathtaking Waioeka River which winds through NZs largest scenic reserve.

Numerous trout can usually be seen in the crystal clear spring water as well as an abundance of native birds. The river is classed as a category 1 & 2 and is excellent for first timers.

We have morning and afternoon kayak trips. The trip is suitable for people ages 12 and up, and of varying levels of fitness. People under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. All kayakers must be able to swim. You meet at NZ's Best Spot. We drive you up the reserve to our drop off location where we show you the ropes and get you started. You paddle approx 2 hours down stream at your leisure & meet at the cafe.

All kayaks are new with helmet & floatation vests provided. The kayaks are designed for first time kayakers and are very safe & stable with easy entry and exit. Kayakers should wear shorts, a T-shirt, water proof windbreaker, and sports shoes. Remember to bring a warm change of clothing. If you have a wet-suit we suggest you bring it especially in cooler months.
